In the complaint, the reader states that under the text on the Portal Analitika, which, as he points out, is declaratively profiled as a sovereignist and pro-European media, a comment was published containing speech of intolerance, calls to violence, and messages that exceed the limits of permitted freedom of expression.
The complainant cites a comment published under the text "Vuković: Venezuela was not attacked because of principles, but because it was an easy target", where a user named "Kalimero_neregistrovani" published the comment on January 5, 2026 at 06:23: "Well done, genius. Attack Greenland and Albania, which is a drug state, in the same way. Arrest Milo Đukanović, too!"
In the appeal, the reader questions whether this way of editing readers' comments is in accordance with the written and unwritten rules of the Media Council for Self-Regulation, as well as with the basic principles of common sense. It also raises the question of where are the limits of freedom of expression, pointing to the possibility that by publishing such comments, in order to increase the number of visits and clicks, ethical, moral and democratic norms are neglected, which, according to the complaint, contributes to the collapse of professional standards and social responsibility of the media.
Acting on the complaint, the Media Council for Self-Regulation contacted the portal Analitika and requested a statement regarding the allegations in the complaint.
In the statement signed by the editor-in-chief of Portal Analitika, Rosanda Mučalica, it is stated that she thanks for pointing out the content of the controversial comments published under the texts on the portal.
In the statement, it is stated that it was an error in the moderation of the comments, and that the controversial comments were removed immediately after they were noticed. The editor-in-chief points out that the comments referred to exceed the limits of permitted freedom of expression and are not in accordance with the professional and ethical standards that Portal Analitika fosters.
It is further stated that, in order to prevent similar situations in the future, the editorial office will further improve the practice of comment moderation, and will strictly react to any form of intolerance, discrimination or content that may encourage hate speech.
The Media Council informed the complainant about the response of the Analitika editorial office, and since the complainant did not request further processing of the complaint after this, we concluded that the moderation was successfully implemented.
At the session of the Complaints Commission of the Media Council for Self-Regulation, after the presentation of all the facts of this complaint, it was concluded that the mediation was successfully conducted in this case.
Given the above, the Complaints Commission did not consider this appeal further.
